The trend in minimizing chemicals in food production was taken to the next level with the introduction of online database by the FDA to track food contaminants in food manufacturers in the USA. Part of this move is to “eliminate a provision allowing companies to self-affirm food ingredient safety.”
Although this is in the USA, history tells us that South Africa will follow suit.
